City Hall Raakspoort is the first of two buildings for the new accommodation of the City of Haarlem. From the Zijlvest the public enters the hall, with counters, consultancy rooms and self-service points. The hall is synoptic, wide and light; a spiral stair and a green wall are the eye-catchers. On the upper floors are the workspaces according to a flexible and varied office concept. Through the white walls, floors and ceilings, interspersed with accent colours and wood tones, the sustainable building (Dutch GPR 8 qualifications) breathes purity, space and light.
